And each step brings them a little closer to the summit. There is no limit to the musical style, language and culture on offer: classical music, jazz, singer-songwriters, choirs, ethnic and contemporary music. The concert at the end of the walk is an encounter between art and nature. Musicians shouldering their instruments climb up the mountain, sit on the grass or rocks and play surrounded by their audience, freed from all the constraints of convention and structure. Music becomes a universal language, the mountains a space for freedom. Sounds of the Dolomites is all this, every year in Trentino, in the most beautiful, most cherished, mountains in the world.
