Elio (a.k.a. Stefano Belisari, born in Milan in 1961) has for years been the leader and singer of Elio e le Storie Tese, a band founded in 1980 that combines a sulphurous, quotable humour with “Zappa-like” musical creativity.
A graduate of the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, and a multi-instrumentalist, Elio has always played the guitar and transverse flute and has willingly ventured into scores written for him by composers of classical origin. A brilliant media personality, he has also been a judge on X Factor in several editions of the popular programme.
