MediBa 4tet

2000X1460MEDIBA-4TET

The MediBa 4tet (Mediterranean–Balkan Quartet) is an acoustic ensemble made up of musicians from four different regions—Montenegro, Slovenia, Catalonia, and Italy—united by a passion for music that blends styles and defies rigid formal classifications.

Maša Vujadinović (voice), Jakob Kobal (accordion), Queralt Giralt Soler (cello), and Andrea Dionisi (drums/percussion) are already familiar to the Suoni audience, having been finalists in 2025 in the “Paolo Manfrini” competition, named after the founder of I Suoni delle Dolomiti.

However, the quartet’s formation took place far from Europe, at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Their aim was to fuse Balkan and Mediterranean traditions with original arrangements, jazz, and classical influences.

It is a goal they have continued to pursue. The quartet’s music spans diverse sonic landscapes: it can be warm, approachable, and danceable, yet also complex and meditative. After touring the United States, MediBa returns to Europe this year for their first European tour.
