Orchestra Haydn

The Haydn Orchestra, a prestigious regional cultural institution, was founded in 1960 on the initiative of the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano and Trento with the aim of including the region in the international classical music and opera networks and to play an educational role aimed especially at the world of youth and schools, also through its partnership with the Busoni competition.

The Haydn runs its own symphonic season and participates in numerous international festivals, with a repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary. It is currently conducted by Alessandro Bonato, a young conductor praised for his performances at the Musikverein in Vienna and his prestigious engagements with orchestras such as the Filarmonica della Scala, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, and the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
