Founded in 1952 and based in Ghent, Belgium, it brings together prestigious festivals from all over Europe and beyond, with the aim of promoting cooperation and cultural exchange in the festival sector.
The EFA plays a fundamental role in the European cultural landscape, as it contributes to strengthening the festival sector, promoting cultural diversity, and creating new opportunities for artists and cultural operators. Thanks to its international network, the EFA facilitates the exchange of ideas and projects, supporting the development of innovative and high-quality festivals.
