Ana Carla Maza

Ana Carla Maza, a Cuban-born cellist, singer, and composer who is revolutionizing Latin American music with her fiery blend of Latin jazz, pop, rock, and other “urban” sounds. Her roots in that Havana celebrated in the film Buena Vista Social Club, combined with her cello virtuosity, honed through classical training in Paris, allow the artist to create a unique sound that captivates audiences worldwide.

Caribe, which in 2025 doubles with the release of Caribe Deluxe, is also the result of self-production: the artist, in fact, founded her own record label, ACM, at just thirty years old, guaranteeing herself complete artistic freedom.

“In Latin music,” she stated, “women sing and men do everything else. I decided to embark on this new project without a music producer. I arrived in the studio with all the scores, written for a sextet, instrument by instrument. I have a classical background; I can play Brahms or Shostakovich, whose music is very complex. Why not take on this new challenge: to produce an entire Latin album that reflects my feminine sensibility, my desire to positively celebrate the here and now of cheerfulness, of spontaneous joy?”

A dream come true.
