Torre di Pisa, the Latemar range: a name that makes the hearts of all mountain lovers race, especially those who love the Dolomites, those ‘Pale Mountains’ that are ablaze with colour at sunset. It’s the name of a spectacular mountain hut, built on a rocky terrace at 2671 metres a.s.l., next to a twenty-metre-high sloping pinnacle that resembles the famous monument in Pisa.
This is the setting for the concert by the four saxophonists of the Kebyart Quartet, a Barcelona-based ensemble that, on the basis of a solid classical and chamber music foundation, creatively and freely explores a repertoire that presents different styles and facets, from Mozart to Ravel, from Mendelssohn to the young Joan Pérez-Villegas. Pere Méndez (soprano), Víctor Serra (alto), Robert Seara (tenor) and Daniel Miguel (baritone) bring a rich and varied experience to the Dolomites overlooking Val di Fiemme and Lake Carezza, inspired by collaborations with renowned artists such as Nicolas Altstaedt, Xavier Sabata and Dénes Várjon, and with orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE, the GIO Symphonia and the Barcelona Wind Symphony.
