Because of bad weather, the concert will take place at 5:30 pm at Auditorium Intercomunale in Fiera Primiero.
To mark the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death, a special project by I Suoni delle Dolomiti will pay tribute to one of the greatest opera composers of all time, who made an indelible mark on music history. Operas such as La Bohème, Tosca and Turandot are admired across the globe for their melodic beauty, emotional depth and powerful dramatic composition. The most famous arias and duets from the Tuscan composer’s operas will await the audience on the lawns of Villa Welsperg in Val Canali, at the foot of the Pale di San Martino.
There, they will hear the voices of soprano Lana Kos, who is one of the brightest stars on the international opera scene, and Georgian tenor Mikheil Sheshaberidze, who is who is s well known among European professionals. With them will be I Solisti di Verona, an ensemble formed by principals from the Arena di Verona Orchestra, who have worked together for many years on various artistic projects and appeared in the biggest concert halls in the world: Gunther Sanin on the violin, Giampiero Sobrino on the clarinet, Sara Airoldi on the cello and Roberto Corlianó – who also takes charge of transcription – on the piano.
