from Pampeago by the Agnello chairlift, then on foot along trail no. 509

In the presence of the majestic Dolomite bastion of the Latemar, with its unmistakable spires, and with views also stretching toward the Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai range, the Tresca meadows—reachable by the Agnello chairlift from Pampeago and a short walk along a trail—will host the explosive energy of Baba-Yaga, a new Vienna-based band that blends Balkan and Eastern melodies, klezmer, and gypsy jazz in original compositions that often evolve into free improvisation.
A concentrated burst of creativity that led, in 2024, to their debut album Grenzenlos (significantly meaning “without borders”), which won over audiences and critics alike.
The band’s name refers to a famous figure from Slavic mythology—sometimes a witch, sometimes a benefactor—magical, powerful, and fearsome. A fitting, programmatic name for an ensemble that has performed in prestigious venues such as Vienna’s Porgy & Bess, the ORF Radiokulturhaus, and the Klezmore Festival, bringing pure energy to the stage and an irresistible invitation to dance.
