Anna Castiglia, a Sicilian-born artist, studied and lived in Turin and is now based in Milan. The singer-songwriter made her debut with the album Mi piace, twelve songs balancing samba, swing, and rhythm and blues, supporting lyrics that hover between intimacy and irony. The album won the prestigious Targa Tenco for Best Debut Work.
After performing on X Factor and opening concerts for major artists such as Max Gazzè and Carmen Consoli, she has further proven her talent in the Italian singer-songwriter scene through her live performances.
In Turin, together with Irene Buselli, Rossana De Pace, Valeria Rossi (known as Cheriach Re), and Francesca Siano (Francamente), she founded the collective Canta Fino a Dieci, which promotes a message of sisterhood and cooperation for women in music.
